Just got home from surgery for breast cancer and I am allowed one indulgent day in bed before I have to start being more active.

Can anyone please recommend a cosy, undemanding yet not crap film for me to watch (something like The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society)?

That reduces me to floods of tears and I feel awful for days after watching it!!

Little Women is a good suggestion.

Hope you make a speedy recovery 💐

No idea if on any of those services but films like the one suggested that sprang to mind are

Starter for ten
Brassed off
Little voice
The England that went up a hill and came down a mountain

And if you don't mind some tears in there inside I'm dancing

All on Netflix:

Stardust
Wedding Season
My Neighbour Totoro (Japanese animated film - technically for children but enjoyable by adults too)
A Castle for Christmas (though it’s a bit early for Xmas films)

Sadly, I have already been through the whole of The Good Witch, Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias and Chesapeake Shore!
