When did Truss really resign?

She spoke to the King and resigned - was that last night? I'm sure she had her audience with the King last night. Did she tell him then and then sit on it til lunchtime today?

Someone said Braverman's resignation letter made it obvious Truss has already resigned last night.

Anyone got any info?

Presumably after seeing Brady this morning, he told her she should resign.

Does she have to see the king in person in order to resign? I imagined she’d just phone him.

The Guardian usually does an ‘as it happened’ thread. The Mail has a story about her sending texts to possible supporters at 4.pm. I imagine she would have decided to go after Graham Brady popped in for a chat.
