We have Oodies and I don’t understand why you can’t tumble dry? Does anyone use the dryer and is it ok?

I didn't know you weren't supposed to tumble dry them. I've always tumbled mine and can't see any difference than when I line dried.

I thought they were made of plastic fibres which melt in the tumble drier. I wouldn't dare risk it with my Oodie, they are so expensive.

Having to do house work, wife has had a new knee, tumble dryer seems to take far too long, so doing something wrong, has taken 4 hours, even light load 2 hours, a heat pump should be faster as drying limit is controlled by temperature at which clothes will be damaged, so since heat pump can condense at a lower than ambient temperature, the air should be dryer than with vented so should be faster.

But that seems not the case, so what is wrong?
