I bought a Samsung Z Flip 3 on O2 in January this year and have until January 2025 before the 3 year contract is up. I'm on O2 Refresh so I'll be able to upgrade my device any time by recycling it, but I know that I'll only get £250 max from some recycling companies and the device plan still has £600 left to pay.
As much as I've been an Android fan for a while now, I'm actually itching to get back to iPhone and would love an iPhone 12 or 13 max but obviously by the time I can upgrade, these will be long superseded.
I'm not massively regretting my phone choice but I do wish upgrading wasn't so expensive. I know that O2 do a new thing called O2 Switch Up but I don't think I can add this as a bolt on to my current contract. Shame really, as this would have solved things a bit more easily.
Has anyone ever really regretted their phone and then had to wait ages to upgrade or change it? I think the main bugbear with Android is that it's more of a faff to transfer photos etc. It seems to be very intuitive with an iMac when transferring images and I really miss this side of things.
Any suggestions on how I might potentially be able to switch is gratefully received 🤔
(I'm guessing there probably isn't an easy answer apart from paying for an upgrade that I can't afford but I thought it'd be worth asking)
