i had a work capability assessment on univesal credit in november of last year i was then decided i had limited capability for work i didnt get any money and there was no date given on letter when this was up for review. At my last appointment with jobcentre which was on 1st September of this year the member of staff i saw made another appointment for me on 30th november and said by this point i should be removed from the limited capability for work group by the point as i had been on it by a year at that point and i should start going out more to help with my anxiety in preperation for me being moved over to normal uc. As i didnt know where i stood on this i didnt argue with her but have read things online and also spoke to people and from what ive seen there should have been a date on the letter i was sent when i was put in the limited capability for work group to say when id be reassessed so i phoned universal credit today explained situation to them and i the guy i spoke to said he was suprised there was no date on letter for review and told me it should have said 17th November. He said he would get somebody from the section that deals with that and they would be in touch. Somebody from uc got in touch twice today the first message said that uc werent completing any re assessments at present and the original decision would continue unless my anxietty changed or if i got a new condition id have to send a sick note and make a fresh claim.
then another member of staff got in touch after that on my journal saying that once the re assessments start again i would be notified in my journal of an up coming referal and i would recieve a letter in due course about a re assessment
my concern is that i wont get this letter until after 17th november and they will say it was my responsibility to make sure i had assessment before that date so now im unsure what to do as im anxious that this will happen and they couldnt care less is anybody else experienced in dealing with situations like this with uc if so id appreciate advice as i dont know how to handle it
