Victorian ghost child...

DD (7) has opinions about things, especially when it comes to dressing up. She also has a distinct taste for the gothic and this Halloween she wants to be a Victorian ghost girl. I don't want to spend much money on this and I miss the SAHM days where I would sew something appropriate, but I work FT now. Which of the following dresses is more suitable? I reckon I can create a white collar, she can wear her bloody school shoes and black tights or knee socks and my mum may well have some actual pantaloons knocking about.

The top dress with a rounded white collar, the white socks and school shoes would be perfect. If she'll let you then you could rag-curl her hair the night before too.

My DD also has opinions Grin

She loves having her hair curled, but I have a plethora of heated tools so I'll probably use one of those instead!

thank you for the consult! Appreciated.

The black dress definitely. The grey one looks to modern with the print on.

Yes, the black dress.

Victorian Ghost Child is a great idea for a Halloween costume! I applaud her taste for the gothic.
