What should I ask for, for my 30th birthday?

Hi all.

I turn 30 this December and I have no clue what to suggest when my parents / family / partner ask what I’d like!

I’m very sensitive to cost of living and money issues at the moment but I think they’ll want to get me something, which is lovely - and so probably won’t accept ‘no need’ for an answer!

Some info:

  • I have a new baby who’ll be 7.5 months at that point so spa days / hotel nights away might be a bit of a waste (she’s EBF and don’t want to leave her!)
  • I have all the makeup and jewellery I need, no reason to add any more
  • I like clothes but wouldn’t want anyone to stress over getting it ‘right’
  • I don’t need new shoes, bags, etc… nothing feels ‘needed’ so anything would feel unnecessary

My only ideas at this point would be a nice weekend away with baby (but expensive perhaps) or a monthly subscription box to some sort of food or drink thing - like a nice treat to arrive every month.

Does anyone have any ideas? Any great presents you’ve got before that you loved? 🥳

Following with interest! Also have a December birthday and have had similar thought processes to you. I feel bad asking for anything to be honest, with the cost of living so high!

A skills class of some kind - DH got me a macaron making class at a local bakery that was fab

Highly recommend a subscription to The Gin Club or Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club!
