How much do you spend on 'extras' every month?

I know it's been done, but I'm trying to budget.

If you were/are on a pretty tight budget, how much do you spend on extra things like outings, takeaways, top up shops etc per month?

I'm on quite a tight budget. I spend about 15% of my earnings on extras.

Basically one takeaway a week, plus one cheapish outing somewhere and little things like coffees and treats.

We probably have one outing a month so for the 5 of us, around £50 (train fares and food)

Takeaway is usually one a month, around £30

We have a takeaway every 4 months or so, having even a basic one every week adds up to a lot every year. I'm always stunned at how often people get them. So takeaways aren't for me but I'll meet a friend for a coffee weekly. I don't do top up shops, I do a big shop weekly at Aldi's unless it's the holidays and ds is home and then I have to go twice a week 😉 When we go out it's usually a NT place and we have membership. I probably go for a meal with friends every 5 or 6 weeks which is roughly £25.

OK thanks all

I've got work drinks this week, but I'm going to try and reign it in after that.

I don't need any clothes, except stuff which can wait for birthday / Christmas. Makeup should be OK for the time being as well.

Coffees I'm not too bad with, but takeaways I have once a week, which I could cut back on.

I'm a baraholic, never get the urge to drink at home but when out I can easily put away £50 worth of booze. Plus taxis can make for an expensive night.

I try not to do it more than 2ce a month although have changed from nights out to Sunday roasts with some friends so food AND booze = ££££

Need to rein it in, should really have people over for dinner instead I suppose
