Saving ipad photos full size - please help!

Hi, Staying with relatives this weekend, I emailed myself some old photos from my friend's ipad. Back at home, in my email, they are in the body of the email rather than appearing as attachments. When I right click and save them, they save as 140kb, so tiny and probably not able to be printed.

They seem to be "big" in my email programme as when I sort by file size, these emails are at the top at 1-5 mb, but I can't see a way to save/download the photo so it's full size.

Can anyone help please? I've tried googling but all that comes up is how to save photos TO ipad, rather than from.

Now, here’s the trick: see the “CC/BCC” line, just below the “To” line? Look over to the right, and you’ll see a little text that reads “Images: 143 KB” (the size will vary depending on the image). Tap the “CC/BCC” line to expand it—and suddenly, you’ll see a series of four “Image Size” options: Small, Medium, Large, and Actual Size. Tap one of the buttons to shrink the photo down to size

I just tested this. I tried to email a pic while in my photo album, using Outlook. The options to change size did not appear. When I chose to email a pic using “mail”, the option to select size appeared beside the cc. My “mail” is set up with my yahoo account. Does any of this help?

Wow, that advice is from 2015, but it did work for me.

Hi, thanks so much Andylion for replying. I am looking in my online outlook and can't even get the bcc/cc thing to appear. (I hate online outlook but as I have a bt connect email address, that won't work with desktop outlook Confused).

But I have found a (laborious) workaround. I forward everything onto my gmail address then as long as I double click on the photo to make it appear with the black background rather than rightclicking it in the body of the email, i can then download it proper big size (and with the original file info). Hurrah!

This doesn't seem to work in outlook/bt mail. Thinking of binning outlook now tbh.

Thanks again for your help.
