I am getting this horrible feeling, like at the end of Game of Thrones, where the wrong person lurked around for years and then randomly got the crown plonked on his head.

Ofgs. I don't like Jeremy Hunt and I think his record in cabinet is poor but I can't abide the bollocks that passes for political commentary on MN.

In all fairness Angry Person, I posted in Chat, I have never claimed to be a political commentator, and I am fully entitled to have a sinking feeling about the recurrence of Jeremy Hunt.

I'm a nurse so I have no love for C-Hunt but trying to look on the bright side I suppose it could have been Michael Gove.

It's just awful.

The greatest worry is that all the Tory voters who have finally started to see what a shambles it all is - will now convince themselves that Hunt is the new sensible, strong, honest principled saviour. .. despite them trashing their own rules of electing a leader. A equally convince themselves that he is 'best for the country'. When in fact, their own MPs go on the radio, such as they did this lunchtime on radio 4 and proudly say 'there is NO chance of calling an election because we will be left with not enough seats to form an opposition. !

As ever. Tories put party before country but the public are fickle and the demographic who vote read the likes of the Daily Mail and Torygraph...

Political commentary on MN SHOULD mostly be bollocks because we all come off here to have rants, let off steam and often chat bollocks to each other. Go for it OP, I like your thread. I really enjoy everyone rhyming Hunt with C--t.

It comes to something when Hunt (who was so terrible in Health that even the doctors went on strike for the first time ever) looks like a stable hand on the tiller.

It worries me that people have very short memories and will decide he is a sensible choice and go back to supporting Tory.
