Just wondering if anyone out there at the moment needs/wants to sell enough to put their house on the open market in the present conditions (or present emergency, perhaps).
I separated from my partner quite some time ago and we were meant to be selling the house (bought in 2007) when it reached a value which would enable at least one of us to buy something smaller. It was looking quite promising until a month ago when the dynamic duo unleashed mayhem.
There is no immediate urgency to sell so I suppose we are lucky, but I take it that most sellers are just sitting on their hands until things calm down?
I read something in the Guardian Online last week where an estate agent said his viewings were down to 26 in a week from 200-odd and that sales were collapsing as buyers pulled out before completion, so I guess something very serious is happening, which MSM isn't reporting fully for whatever reason.
