Cornflour

Anyone else struggling to get it. None in Spainsburys yesterday and none in Tesco's today - not even on their system. What's best to use instead? Thought baby rice but none of that either

Ah ok no idea! So is it to thicken a coating before deep frying? You could try rice flour (if they have it). Or look in the Asian section at flours there - chick pea flour would work - called besan or gram flour.

Cornflour was out of stock early in 2020. That's why I have quite a bit of it as I needed it for a specific recipe.

Just use plain flour - it won't be identical, but should be fine. If you need something gluten free then it won't be. What about gram flour?

I have had the same issue but bought cornflour in Lidl the other day, they seemed to have plenty

Did a mixture in the end equal parts cornflour, plain flour and gram flour. wings were very tasty but not nearly as crispy as they were with straight cornflour. Seems like I need a Lidl trip
