Miners (the brand!)

Just reading the Cathy & Claire thread reminded me of Miners make-up.. wonderful stuff! I used their hair lightener when I was about 13 / 14, poured into a saucer & applied with a small brush.. probably neat peroxide or something, looking back, lol.. Years later, when I was working as a cashier, on display, their City Lights nail polish.. I got so many compliments. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have bought it all up & stored it somewhere where hopefully it wouldn't have deteriorated!
Do you remember anything from Miners or any other company from those days?

Yes I remember Miners . Did they do make up? I remember getting some money for Christmas and buying a powder eye shadow pallette in really gaudy colours 🥴 this would be around 1974 🤪

I remember the free gifts with Mizz and Shout magazine in the 90s were Miners eyeshadow or nail varnish.

I loved their adverts. ‘Miners make the most of eyes, show you how to emphasise’ 🎶

this was one of them.

They used to do nail varnish in blue and black - in the days when any colour that wasn't on the pink/red scale was niche and hard to get.

Yes I remember Miners back in the day. They weren't as 'cool' as Barry M, Leichner or Bourjois though.
