We’ve done the Parlour at Fortnums, but would like to take foodie DS14yo to another lovely ice cream place over half term that we can sit down and eat in. Thanks!

Hans and gretel, it’s quite magical

Ruby Violet in the Canal Quarter at Kings Cross is lovely!

La Grotta Ices on a Saturday morning at Spa Terminus used to have a place to sit down but not sure any longer. Incredible ice cream though!

Gelupo in Soho is lovely - it’s run by Jacob Kenedy, who’s the chef patron at Bocca di Lupo and has great foodie credentials. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Not fancy sundaes and instagrammable concoctions, but just really amazing quality gelato with unusual flavour combos.

Ooh, or go to Borough Market, it’s a foodie paradise. You can spend a few hours wandering around sampling all the delicious things (cheese, meat, deli bits), get lunch from a stall, and round it off with an ice cream from Gelateria 3BIS.

Just came on here to mention Gelupo's too. Lovely ice cream (although that Hansel and Grateley place looks like n experience I want to take my DC to!)

Ruby Violet is nice. I also like Jefferson’s but more South London.

Gelupo! Gorgeous flavours.

Or Oddono's - there are a few in London.

I was just trying to remember the name of Gelupos. Bloody amazing.

Chin chin is amazing. It’s made with liquid nitrogen to freeze it

Tricky to guarantee seats, but we liked milk train, chin chin, gelupo and also venchi. We do fortnums as an annual tradition too, so here to pick up other ideas!

The Milk Train in Covent Garden

Soft Serve Society in Covent Garden, or I’m very partial to the ice cream at Shake Shack.
