Brighten up my night with a podcast

Living it up on a Saturday, already in bed resting my eyes until I'm next woken up by DD1 who has a sickness bug. Usually I'd cheer myself up with a podcast but it's been a whole week of shit sleep spending hours on various DC's floors holding their hand, so I've already listened to all my favourites.
Help!
It needs to be an easy listen as I tend to doze on and off, and be something cheerful. I have already listened to Parenting Hell, Off Menu and the Sam and Billie Show for reference of the sort of thing I'm after.

Thanks!

Help I Sexted My Boss
The Adam Buxton podcast
Happy Place (Fearne Cotton)
Headliners (Nihal from the radio interviews ppl)
Brydon & (Rob Brydon interviews)
The Mid Point (Gabby Logan)
I Cant Believe It's Not Buddha (Lee Mack talking about Buddhism, had me crying with laughter but unfortunately they stopped making it. Old episodes still exist though.)

My Dad Wrote A Porno is definitely an easy listen!

Now You're Asking with Marian Keyes and Tara Flynn. It's on BBC Sounds and it's very funny.

Alan Carr ‘life’s a beach’ also v lighthearted with the same format each time - people talk about their favourite holidays, good for a bit of escapism

Podcastrex · 15/10/2022 22:31

These sound right up my street, thank you! Fearne Cotton was on Parenting Hell this week actually and I thought I should check her podcast out.
I might start with Lee Mack, one of the few people that can make me cry with laughter! Though I worry I will wake up the DC from laughing!

If you watch the tv show friends then Friends with Friends is my ultimate comfort podcast.

PastyMuncher · 15/10/2022 22:35

Walking The Dog is lovely and easy listening

Podcastrex · 15/10/2022 22:37

Can't believe I didn't know about all these I'm so excited now! I'm actually going to start with Alan Carr.

I have tried Shagged Married Annoyed but could never quite get into it. Probably because I listen to it in bed and it's just a bit too loud :D. I was listening to it while in the depths of despair from postpartum insomnia too, so it just brings up bad memories now.

No such thing as a fish is great, easy but interesting listening and years of a back catalogue.

gisajob123 · 15/10/2022 22:40

Alan car one is hilarious. Especially latest one with daisy may cooper & I think he did one with Kerry godliman too which was brilliant - enjoy!

I find Help I Sexted my boss an easy listen in bed.

Jordan North is a sweetie and William Hanson is hilariously catty in a very gentle way.

Second this!

I Secretly Recorded My Boyfriend is hilarious as is the Secret World of Slimming Clubs. My Dad Wrote a Porno is my all time favorite and I’ve just started to listen to Rob Lowes podcast too which is fascinating although he does love the sound of his own voice 😂

PortalooSunset · 15/10/2022 23:45

My favourite is Bad People, on BBC sounds.

loottie · 16/10/2022 00:15

I like 'it's a fair cop' (the cop is a bit old fashioned in his humour) but I don't think it's a podcast - BBC sounds
