Chilled performances National Theatre

I’ve just booked tickets at the National Theatre which are for a chilled performance. I naively assumed this was the production company and didn’t realise that these performances allow people to make a noise and move about.

I am now pretty stressed as I like a trip to the theatre to be quiet so I can concentrate. Has anyone been to a chilled show and how disrupted was it?

I understand these sorts of performances exist for a reason and I am not complaining about that!

I've been to one before with my autistic nephew and honestly it was pretty loud, lots of moving about, a bit of sporadic shouting etc. I didn't mind at all and think it's amazing that such performances are offered, my nephew loved it.
But as a adult I wouldn't choose to go to one simply because of the audience volume.

Phone the box office and see if you can exchange the tickets.
