Anyone know Croydon? Where to eat before gig at Fairfield Halls

I last went to the Fairfield Halls about 20 years ago. I'm going to a concert there by myself next Saturday. Is there anywhere decent nearby to eat beforehand? (I know - it's Croydon - but worth a try)

BOXPARK near East Croydon Station. If you go into the upper level from the station there is MeatLiqour. To eat in BOXPARK you have to register for their card to get entry. It has lots of stalls to choose from.

Boxpark right by East Croydon Station.

There's a Wagamama across the road

Bagattis on South End. If you're going by public transport, you can pick up a 119, 312 or 466 from opposite the station that'll drop you off outside.

Bagatti’s is indeed nice but it’s not that near the halls. Walking distance would be better- Boxpark is great.

I’ll suggest Basil and Grape, just round the corner. Beautiful pizzas and lovely atmosphere. They do anti pasti pasta etc too but I can only vouch for the pizza. Great wine too.

I saw Sandi Toksvig's National Trevor show at the Fairfield just before the pandemic. Really enjoyed it.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I've been to a Boxpark elsewhere so that sounds good, as does the pizza place. I'm going to see 10cc, or what's left of them (old gimmer).

Cross the road at the Fairfield, walk down Katherine Street, turn left and it's about 6 minutes? It's not even half a mile.

Box park is an overpriced shithole.
