Would some one help me calculate this please?

I received a voucher for 5p off per litre of fuel.

I filled up today at a cost of £1.819 per litre.

I dispensed 64.89 litres.

The cost before voucher was presented was £118.03 ( although I don’t think you need that info).

How much discount should I have received, please?

Approx £3.20?

64.89 litres x 5p so £3.24

But they might only do it on full litres - so 5p x 64

Somewhere between £3.20 - £3.24 depending on how they calculate. I wouldnt be bothered about 4p of a difference for the part litre.

It seemed low at the time. It my maths is poor so I wouldn’t have been able to work it out there even if I tried. I did say “so how much discount did I get” and he said “just over 30 quid”.

I’ve come home and tried to work it out but couldn’t compute how to.

Just over £30 discount would be around 50p rather than 5p per litre off. Sounds like a mistake.

Yes the employee has used 50p discount, I’m surprised that it is done manually and hope for their sake they don’t get too many coupons through their shift!
