low qrs voltage - ECG

I had an ECG today, the first one was normal but the base line bit was up and down. They did a second one and it came back with low qrs voltage
I've stupidly been on Dr Google (never advisable anyway) but is this ever a case that things are actually normal? I've just come off a mental health section and am on a home treatment plan. They've checked my vitals every few days and my heart rate as been up and down.

I admit, I am starting to freak out a bit.

These are my fifth ECGS this week and this has never come up before (it's been SVT before twice, and normal once)... I have had a clear chest x ray but went through a really traumatic assault which included a fractured sternum...

(surely something would have come up between this?)

If your CXR was clear I wouldn’t be too panicked. Often it can be due to body habitus (being overweight/obese). It’s caused by excess impedance to the electrical conduction, from fluid, fat, or air. Other causes can be lung hyperinflation in COPD or massive fluid buildup around the heart or lungs, in which case you’d be extremely unwell. Just get a repeat in a few months to see if they can get a better trace. Don’t worry.

Ah thank you - yes my Chest x ray was clear (and only done like a week ago) so that is reassuring.

I am 3 kgs overweight but have lost 10 kgs recently so that's probably the issue! I have no symptoms of COPD and very rarely smoke. I did used to drink but don't now (stopped a few years ago).

I’d be more concerned about the SVT - if you have another episode lasting longer then 30 mins or feel extremely unwell you need to call 999. The GP may need to repeat your ECG in a couple of months and/or request an ambulatory one if you’re suffering ongoing symptomatic. Well done for getting home and hope it all works out with the HTT.
