DC is 2 and refuses refuses (!!) to wear the sleep sacks. Hasn't worn them since last winter. Now we've moved to a bed and I don't know what duvet tog he should have!

It was bad enough choosing a mattress and bed and now my decision-making capacity is DONE. We are also loving house so lots of things to chose etc.

What duvets are good for toddlers? Tell me where and what to buy !!

Most toddler sized duvets are usually 4.5 tog as standard, most supermarkets argos etc sell the duvet and pillow together

My kids, including the toddler in a single bed, have summer and winter duvets same as us. I think the summer is a 4 and the winter 10.5 but you might want to go warmer than that if your house is very cold. You don’t need to overthink like the sleep sacks as they can kick it off if they’re too warm. Just treat like any other duvet purchase!

As PP says though cot duvets are all 4.5 - I’m guessing because it’s harder for them to kick them off if you have bars on the cot? If that’s what you want then ikea are good. But over 2 mine have been in single beds with normal bedding.

My dd will be 3 in December and has this duvet in her cot (with the matching pillow) as she just decided one day that she didn't want to use her sleeping bag any more!

I have 2 duvets and 2 pillows and keep the spare set under her cot with clean covers on ready to swap over if she has an accident or is poorly.
It's also handy as it fits in a normal washing machine

Depends on the size of the bed too:

If toddler bed - 4.5tog
If a single bed - anything up to 10.5tog depending how cold the room gets

Dd was champion at tossing and turning so much with her single quilt that I would find her curled tightly under a corner of her quilt clutched underneath her chin.

I had a spare double feather and down quilt and she could toss and turn all night in her single bed and it would stay on so that’s what I used. I have no idea what the tog is. And in West Aus, we don’t have central heating so rooms would get cold overnight.
