Chicken fajitas tonight. No idea about the rest of the weekend! 🤣

YorkieTheRabbit · 14/10/2022 11:25

Gammon - tonight
Garlic chilli chicken and chapati - tomorrow
Roast beef, Yorkshire puddings etc - Sunday
I’m also making an apple crumble today and some lentil soup

ArcaneWireless · 14/10/2022 11:26

Slow cooked skirt in ale. Roast potatoes. Broccoli. Carrots. One of dad’s favourites.

Saturday - stovies with the left over beef with my first home made pickled beetroot in decades. And a pile of crispy onions. And oatcakes.

And a homemade herby tear and share with mam’s lentil soup on Sunday. Hers always tastes much nicer than mine. Even if she is stood over me as I make it.

Bit of a rich weekend but I have masses of garden stuff to do this weekend. A total slog as I’ll be doing it on my own. It is colder and I quite fancy comfort food.

And they love it too so win-win.

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 14/10/2022 11:26

Tonight - cream of vegetable soup followed by spagetti bolognese

Tomorrow- pizza hut for lunch and not sure for dinner

That's as far as I got so I am looking for inspiration!!

I am trying very hard to get mroe flavours and variety into a food resistant child with autism so have been having pureed soups as a starter each night. He might eat only a teaspoon (literally, and via the mechanism of dippy toast) but it's a start.

CourtneeLuv · 14/10/2022 11:27

Omg I love momos! Never made them myself though.

I was think of curry for the weekend but it's quite close to my lentil soup/dhal.

I might just repurpose some soup and add potatoes and chicken and serve with rice.

Job done 😂

Butternut squash risotto with sage. I have just enough left over after roasting some with lamb chops and other roast veg and adding some to a vegetable curry. You can also make it with pumpkins which are all over the shops for Halloween lanterns at the moment.

Xiaoxiong · 14/10/2022 11:28

Tonight - spag bol
Tomorrow night - roast pumpkin soup with cheese toasties
Sunday - pot roasted pork shoulder with harissa white beans and Savoy cabbage

mrsfeatherbottom · 14/10/2022 11:29

Tonight - lentil and spinach curry with naan.

Saturday - lunch: nachos
Dinner: fish and chips for DD's birthday

Sunday - bean burgers and wedges

gingercat02 · 14/10/2022 11:30

Takeaway tonight, probably Indian.

Tomorrow hot smoked salmon for lunch, chicken fajitas for dinner.

Sunday no idea as yet.

Need to do the food order so some inspiration would be great

I've just had a rummage in the fridge / freezer as shopping isn't delivered until tomorrow. Best I can come up with is a Cajun sausage traybake with potatoes, celery, peppers and red onion.

Tomorrow we are out for dinner and Sunday I'm making Si The Hairy bakers steak bakes which look so good.

muchprefersummer · 14/10/2022 11:44

We're eating the freezer down in prep for Christmas so it's chicken curry and an Indian party selection for us and for the kids homemade pizzas. We have so much dough in the freezer. All followed by 'you guessed it' frozen apple pie and a tub of frozen cream!

SpottyStripyDuvet · 14/10/2022 11:48

Tonight- just me and DH - chicken panang curry (Gousto recipe)

Tomorrow- whatever my Dad decides to cook for me (mum is in hospital so I will take him to visit then he will cook for us). DH and DS will have pizza and wedges.

Sunday - me, DH, DS and MIL - I was going to do shepherd's pie but Sainsburys have substituted the lamb mince for half a leg of lamb so will do roast lamb.

stuffnthings · 14/10/2022 11:49

Tonight - Paella
Tomorrow - McDonalds (one of DC's b'day requests!)

Honestly I was so sceptical but it's nicer than a takeaway!! And I actually followed the timings and put it on low for about 5/6 hours rather than bung it in the slow cooker from 6-7 haha!
