MRI results for DH - called in for Saturday appointment

My DH had an MRI scan on his prostate on Monday evening. He got a call today from the receptionist who booked him in for an appointment with the consultant on Saturday morning to discuss the results. She assured him that was normal.

I don't believe her though and am utterly terrified. His blood tests have been fine but I'm wondering what was seen on the scan.

Has anyone else been called in for an appointment like that and it all be ok? I feel utterly sick.

Has he been told to bring someone for support? That was our big clue that all was not well.

I've had appointments on saturdays at hospitals before, normally when they have had a backlog and trying to clear it.

My husband is a radiographer in MRI. He regularly works weekends and has done for years.

@bloodywhitecat no he hasn’t. I’m sorry, it sounds like you have had a hard time.

I think I’m worried as I had an MRI scan at the same hospital last year and was told everything was fine on the phone.

Maybe some further investigation or treatment will be involved but not necessarily as bad as you are thinking. The fact of it being a Saturday shouldn't cause alarm.
