I want a job - not a career - what can I do?

After years of self employment, then a serious management job, I’m done. I want a job where I’m not pulled in 100 directions everyday.

i am an area manager at the moment and thought I may prefer just managing a shop as opposed to an area, but I’m not sure.

I want a job I only think about 9-5 without ridiculous targets and pressure. After a very tough year personally, money is not my main motivation any more.

what do you do? I’m friendly and sociable, and don’t mind being on my feet all day.

all ideas welcome.

I don’t know, but career shifters is a good organisation

I work less than 9-5, but I work in a smallish hotel. I take nothing home and usually have a pleasant time while there.

Health care assistant / nursing assistant in hospital. They do a lot of the graft, whereas nurses have more responsibility and drugs etc. it's hard work but the responsibilities lie with the registered staff so you can go home worry free!

After losing both my mum and dad this year - nothing hospital or health related!! I’ve always fancied hotel work actually and live on the south coast so could be an option.
