Ideas/Entertainers for a 9 year olds birthday party?

I have a few months to plan it but round here things need to be booked up 4-6 months in advance so I really need to get thinking so I can book - party is middle of next year around May/June time so need to be booking between now and early Jan really. Food isn’t an issue as ExH works for one of the big supermarkets that do those platters and they went down a treat at her last party.

I thought about an activity but most round here are limited to 12 children including the birthday child and she has 12 cousins all around her age (my cousins DC, my DNs and my ExHs DNs) who she has to invite so that rules those out – they all invite her to their parties so we invite back and they've all come to the last 3 of her parties that they've been invited to (This year, 2019 and 2020)

She can’t do trampolines or bouncy castles/inflatable obstacles for medical reasons otherwise I’d book those as they seem to have higher maximums for parties (35-40 I’ve seen one that has a limit of 60).

I looked at Bowling but the nearest alley only allows you to book 3 lanes out for parties and limits it to 15 which would be 3 groups of 5 playing so she could only invite 2 from school when she’s given me a list of at least 8 DC from her class and 2 from the other classes who she does activities with that have to be there and they can’t guarantee the lanes would be near each so I don’t think we could do that.

Her friend had a disco with a DJ entertainer but although DD enjoyed it she didn’t really talk to her friends or dance along (she has Dyslexia and Dyspraxia plus Joint Hypermobility Syndrome so it was probably didn’t really understand it and couldn’t hear properly) so think it would be a waste of money.

So I’m thinking of entertainers because I can book a hall and invite all her cousins plus as many classmates as she wants and anyone from her activities too (and probably my neighbours DC who go to a different school but she plays outside with most nights). But Princesses/Superhereos/Magicians seem a bit babyish for 8/9/10 year olds.

So MN what kind of entertainers for this age group that won’t make her the laughing stock of her class?

At that age my daughter went to parties run by entertainers who did video making, science parties, make up parties and cooking parties.

My son at that age had a graffiti party. The artist provided all the items and the paint (records, baseball hats and at the end they all did a giant canvas, which the graffiti artist then sprayed his name onto). Everyone really enjoyed that one, boys and girls. My ASD 7yo (at the time) did spray his own face though, by deciding to see if the can was working by spraying it into his face 🤦‍♀️

Thank you everyone some great ideas here, are bubble parties too babish? There's an entertainer guy who does tricks with bubbles but not sure
