Adverts on ITV hub - Argh!!!

Watching the RHOC menopause documentary and there's sooooo many adverts. I've resumed it and it knocked me back to the beginning and back to more bloody adverts. Ridiculous (and yes I'm peri and feeling the rage due to someone wasting my time) 🤬

I pay the subscription fee and thus have no adverts when watching ITV hub. They have to fund it somehow.

Totally agree. I never watch any ITV but wanted to watch the three Karen Pirie episodes. Ads before each episode started, then SIX fecking ads during each episode. Some of the ad breaks were only 30 seconds, others were much longer, three to four minutes. Just reminded me why I like Apple TV and iPlayer.

Omg the adverts on ITV hub are overkill.

I used to watch RHOC on my phone funnily enough whilst breastfeeding with DD1.

If I switched apps and then went back, I would have ANOTHER set of adverts before I could replay the show.

Annoying AF.

It’s the worst of all the catch up apps. It’s so glitchy

Lulu1919 · 13/10/2022 06:28

It spoils what you're trying to watch I feel
Our hub isn't working on one of our TVs either at the moment ...

Charlieiscool · 13/10/2022 06:33

I won’t pay because I rarely want to use it and I pay for loads of other streaming stuff. After trying Karen Pirie I just won’t bother with it at all now because the amount of time on repeated tedious adverts made it unwatchable.

Kingoftheroad · 13/10/2022 06:49

I can’t stand ITV a hub for this very reason. I now refuse to watch it

Rubyupbeat · 13/10/2022 08:00

I do the subscription, the ads drove me mad

Roarsomemore · 13/10/2022 09:16

I'm not on my own then. Going to finish watching this documentary (and steel myself ready for the adverts) but not bother with it again. Don't watch much on ITV so not worth subscribing. We've got netflix so loads of old ITV stuff is on there if I want to watch the dramas etc.

Get BritBox. Lots of current programmes are on there, including Karen Pirie, with no ads ad lots of other good stuff too

Seeline · 13/10/2022 09:27

I've been trying to watch a series on it recently and the ads have driven me mad. I don't mind ad breaks as if i was watching live TV, but it's the randomness of it. Is it just 1 or 6? Have I got time to get a cuppa or not. I daren't pause it because it then puts in extra ads, or sometimes it gets stuck in a never ending loop of ads and I have to stop it, go back to the beginning of the program, rewatch all the ads at the start and then play roulette to see if it will let me fast forward to where I'd previously got to without having to stop for all the ad breaks in between! Not an experience I shall be repeating!!
