It can sometimes take me a few minutes on how to spell a word that I know I know. But it’s like..nope. Can’t think of it so I have to type as best as I can, and let autocorrect do it’s job

Over here(waving). Me. I struggle to type coherently at all

Nope, not really.

My spelling is never great. I thought it had improved a lot as I have got older but found out recently that it's only because I hadn't noticed that Outlook, like Word etc have automatic spell check as I type.

Sigh.

OhNoOhDearOh · 12/10/2022 17:17

My spelling used to be great but definitely declined since autocorrect

StrikeandRobin · 12/10/2022 17:17

Yes.

My spelling has always been awful but at least with getting up and looking words up in a dictionary there was a chance of it sticking.
There have been a few times recently where I had so little clue on how to spell words that even autocorrect couldn’t predict what word I was aiming for Blush

Worse than that is I'm starting to think commonly mis-spelt words are actually correct! Eg nosey. Sorry NOSY. 🤦‍♀️

I love it. I'm dyslexic and autocorrect and spell check mean I can type things that are actually understandable.

I hear you OP. Always used to be good at spelling but in the use it or lose it game of autocorrect, I now rely on my phone or computer to back me up. For the life of me, I couldn't remember how to spell exaggerated and had to type many variances of it before auto correct picked it up

Yes! But I am foreign, English is my second language.
I cannot properly spell words that have a double letter, like pipette. I will try pippete, pippette.... I used to be able
