Galaxy Flip 4 phone owners - common problem with the fold?

Hi,

Sorry, I know this is a very specific question, but wondered if this was a common problem or have I just been unlucky and been given a faulty one?

A few days a go, I noticed a sort of bubble on the edge of the fold, but really small and didn't think too much of it. Then yesterday I closed it and could hear this sort of crunch and the bubble has basically travelled all the way to the other side 😳 Obviously I've been sent out a replacement, but is this a common problem with this style of phone? I could understand the wear and tear in this area after a couple of years, but not after 4 weeks!

Anyone had this?

TIA

Flip phone 10 months old, currently away for 4th repair along fold, 3 fixed under warranty after many complaint messages, now awaiting engineers quote for this 4th time

Really suprised about this, I had flip2 as did my friend, no issues at all. I upgraded to flip3 and my friend to fold3, again, no problems. Maybe just flip4?

@embark, what issues did you have? It's working fine, it's just where it folds. The crunching every time I close it is unnerving 😬 It sounds like it's going to break in half!
