Our c-max is in the garage, probably never to return, so we need to figure out what to replace it with.

Please can I have your recommendations?

Need a car a similar size for 2 adults, 2 kids & various stuff we lug around with us.

Thanks

Golf plus ?

What do you like? What's your budget? Petrol/diesel/electric? How old?

Sprig1 · 12/10/2022 11:24

We have the plug in hybrid Skoda Octaviia estate. It is v nice to drive (significantly better than the diesel it replaced) and smart inside. They quote 40 miles to a charge but we get 25ish. Good car if you mainly do short journeys and can plug in at home.

I loved my Ford s max. The boot was huge, had extra seats just incase. It was so lovely to drive.

NightmareSlashDelightful · 12/10/2022 11:30

Newer C-Max?

Might be helpful to give a bit more info re mileage, budget, new vs used, type of driving you do, etc. Can you charge an EV at home or not, that kind of thing.

LunchBoxPolice · 12/10/2022 11:40

Our diesel estate gets about 50mpg on the motorway.

summergone · 12/10/2022 12:02

Mazda 6 , most reliable car we ever had

gogohmm · 12/10/2022 12:12

I second Mazdas, very reliable. Old one is 13 and never broken down

greyinganddecaying · 12/10/2022 12:30

Thanks all - we're really open to all possibilities at the moment. We'd need it to do 45 mile commute each day, so good to hear recommendations.

My Mondeo estate is brilliant, massive boot and does 50-70 mpg (diesel).

Our 2021 VW Tiguan is fab! It's really sturdy, has lots of nice touches and has lots of safety features. Super comfortable and reliable, really happy with it Daffodil

@CPL593H that's made me laugh !
