I know there’s been a few of these threads in the past but I just love them. Has anything creepy happened to you that you can’t explain?
my family tell me a lot that they find my flat to be creepy but I haven’t felt any scary vibes here.

@chloefzirydust and anyone else
I was walking through a tunnel filled with a pâle gold light. There was a group of people walking towards me as if to welcome me. They were like shadows, slightly different shades of grey, impossible to tell features or who they were.
As I continued walking I felt a large hand on my left shoulder. I'm left-handed. I knew without any doubt it was my father's who died in 1987. I put my left hand up to touch his, and felt his signet ring.
He then spoke to me, calling me chicken, a pet name, told me it wasn't my time yet, turned me around and swatted me on the bottom with an 'off you go'.
He never smacked me, he'd been an officer in the MNavy and I wouldn't have even dared think of doing anything that would have risked a smack from him.

It both makes me laugh, and annoys me. He taught me to box, so next time we meet, I owe him.

Wow this is incredible, and so comforting. Were you in an operation/accident? If you'd rather not say then I respect that, glad you're still with us.

I used to stay at my friends house sometimes when they were away. I'd had the odd thing in the past I couldn't figure out, but on one occasion I found the curtains half drawn in my bedroom (I never do that) and I also found the curtain tie for the front door on the floor by the kitchen in the morning (old terrace house with long hallway, so no way I could even through it that far. I remember saying, "George, you've got to stop this" and told my friends on their return. My friend was a bit freaked as apparently an old chap used to live there who was a hermit, and his name was George.

This happened to me a few years ago but not sure how to explain it. Was coming home from a work night out and it was snowy/icy. Changed at a busy mainline station but the trains from my usual platforms weren't there (due to snow/ice) so I had to go to another platform, which had winding stairs going up. The stairs at the other end of the platform were blocked off, due to repair work. It wasn't very busy but was the last trains times. I noticed an older man with grey hair going up these stairs, but when I got onto the platform he wasn't there at all. I was hoping he hadn't slipped to be honest as he looked a bit unsteady on his feet. There was only one other person going up the stairs with me and they were there, waiting for the train. It wasn't like I'd have asked them, 'oh did you see where that old man went?'

I don't think it's spooky as I don't think it was a ghost.

I can relay another. Again, I've told this before, possibly under another username but that's fine.

I used to help out at a local-ish organisation with events. At Hallowe'en we did a 'scary' walk around the reserve, we did things like apple bobbing and crafts for the kids and on this particular occasion, decided to do some story-telling. The reserve was on the site of an old manor house, so I did a little research and made up a story about the daughter of the family eloping with the gardener, to her stern father's chagrin, and it all ending tragically.
We had our drinks, put on our coats and went outside, to get all those who wanted to do the walk together.
Suddenly I received a distinct clip around the ear. Nobody standing anywhere near me, nothing fallen from the trees above, and no other reason for feeling it that I could identify. I assume the people in my story didn't like it!

It was suggested to me that what I felt could have been a muscle spasm but it was on the upper part of my ear which is just cartilage, which seems less likely, and I have never before or since experienced that feeling.

Mine is recent. My DS had a toy house when he was a toddler, that made all sorts of songs and noises. He's 10 now, so it's in a cupboard above his bed. Its been there fot at lesst 4 years. 2 weeks ago he was in his room and he could hear the house. It sang out "welcome, welcome, come on in. We're all together, let the fun begin." It used to do this when you rang the door bell on it. It stopped, then he called me in to listen and it did it again. My OH went up in the cupboard and brought it down. It hadn't moved, nothing had fallen on it. I forgot about it, then a few days ago the light in DS's room flickered when I went in. I turned it off and thought I'd check the bulb later, then didn't give it a thought, and it's been OK since. Then last night I woke up at 3.30 am to hear someone walking up and down the landing. OH was asleep next to me. So I went to see why DS was up. He wasn't, he was asleep in his bed. Earlier today I learnt that an ex colleague died in August. I don't want to speak I'll if the dead, but she bullied me and made fun of me at work. She acted as if she hated me, and I never really understood why. Now I can't help wondering if she's come back to haunt me, as silly as that sounds.

Mine isn't creepy at all 😊
We lived in a Victoria 3 storey. The kitchen was huge and at one end had an open fire ( that we never lit).
I was cooking one day, at the stove, and out of the corner of my eye, caught movement in front of the fire.
I looked over and saw a Jack Russell type dog doing the circling movement before settling down. I still cannot for the life of me explain this, but I had no reaction to this... I just kept on cooking, as though this was a live dog of mine - it wasn't!

I never told anyone, but a few years after we moved, I told this story. DS 1 was amazed - he had experienced the same, and asked if I'd seen a bird - crow possibly, flying around the kitchen. I hadn't, but DS2 had seen both dog and bird.

Nine of us had felt and woo. We had not even reacted in any way to it,
So bizarre.

Nothing before and nothing since, and nothing spooky, just, well, the norm somehow🤔

When I was a teenager I was home alone and needed to nip upstairs. I jogged up the first 3 steps then felt like I hit an invisible wall. I rocked back and literally stood there for a few moments trying to figure out what had stopped me. Then I felt a sense of dread about going up the stairs. I hesitated for about a minute before I decided to leg it as fast as I could. The bathroom was right at the top of the stairs so I ran straight in there. As I passed the threshold, the landing lightbulb popped and glass exploded over the floor.

I’ve had a few ‘feelings’ over the years, all to do with people very close to me. I once was sat at home and thought that DH had hurt himself, specifically his thumb. I thought I was being stupid but couldn’t set it aside so I text him asking if he was ok and saying you haven’t hurt your thumb by any chance? He replied a few hours later saying he’d jammed his thumb in a delivery cage and had just got back from the first aider. Very spooky and I have no idea where it came from.

I passed out and had a vision that then occured when I came back around. I passed out for about two seconds but it felt like I had a whole dream in that time.

Mine isn't "creepy" as such. But when I had my dd, I wanted her middle name to an older deceased relative who I adored, but said relative always said she didn't like her name much. Anyway, when I got home from the hospital after having dd, I said to DH in the driveway that I really needed a sign that said relative was ok with me giving dd her middle name. We walked into the house and there in the middle of the floor was an old birthday card from her, that had been stored in a memory box in my bedroom. I took it that she was ok with her name and dd has her name as a middle name.

I still miss that relative terribly, even though it's been nearly 15 years since she died. And dd knows why she has her name.

A few years ago I had really vivid dream where I was walking along the seafront at a place we used to holiday when I was a child. Half way along I met my grandfather who had died a few years before, he looked like he was going to say something and then I would wake up. I had the same dream every night from the Thursday till Saturday. On the Sunday afternoon I was in my grans house telling her and my mum about the dream. I think he's trying to tell me something. That night the police visited my gran to say my uncle who was only 43 had been found dead in his flat, they think he had died on the Thursday.
I've dreamt about my grandfather twice since, the night before his sister died and the night before my grans brother died.

When my son was around 3 years old, I was chatting with a friend about childbirth, exchanging stories, when my son suddenly said. "Oh I remember it was all dark in there and I didn't like it much". He was a late talker so it was kind of surprising how matter of fact his statement was.

ParkheadParadise · 20/10/2022 18:55

I've posted about this before.

The night my dd died I was in bed when I heard her come up the stairs. I was 7 months pregnant at the time. She sat on the bed I felt the weight of her sitting down she told me I know what your having.
In the morning I told DH she had been in the house during the night. I was getting ready to go to her flat when the police came to the house.
I told them she had been in the house during the night. It wasn't until they checked CCTV they told me it wasn't possible. I was convinced she was in the house the police showed the CCTV footage.
I will never understand it. Part of me still believes she was there.
