Tropic skincare

I cannot find anything that does wonders for my skin like tropic does. I don't buy their make up or shampoo but I love their skincare. I dislike myself for buying from an MLM but I've tried lots of different brands, most recently CeraVe and it stung the minute I put it on my face. Can anyone suggest an alternative that is just as good?

I like Tropic, I like the fact they do lots for charity. I would just buy it if you like it.

@confused162 i love their skin products, just annoying that their business model is 💩 I will continue to buy until I find something just as good!

I used to sell tropic. And then (I think after I put too many different products on in too small a time frame) my skin went berserk.
I've changed to 47skin and find it has worked wonders for my now overly sensitive skin.
They do offer an ambassador-ship, but with them they ask for you to make 3 videos promoting their products, in return for 25% off for life. No mlm structure thank goodness.
I decided to hold on to my privacy this time 🤣🤣 but I do love my skin again, so for that, I love them 💕

Hi, I know it's old post, but can you tell something more, please? They never say such stuff- only talk about commission and 25% off for your own shopping. What does "for life mean"- does it mean you'll get the discount even if you haven't shopped with them for few years? I'm asking because I'm trying to join as ambassador (for my own benefit, not for sales) and their signing up process is such a nightmare. You can't just register yourself, other ambassador has to do it. What a faff.

Hi 👋
It may have changed, as I joined during lockdown.. but this is my experience of the joining process.

I joined through the ambassador that I was buying from. The business in a box which provided all the skincare products was £199. You had to buy this, there was no option. But you've got everything to use, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I did sell it for a while. I set up a FB private group and quite a few of my friends and extended family bought off me. Some came back and were repeat customers, others didn't. This was hard to take... you start questioning what did I do wrong 😕 cos everyone round you is selling easily enough.

There is alot of contact from the ambassador that recruits you, at the start, as obviously they want you to do well and sell lots, as they get a % of your sales. And if you recruit a team, they get % of those sales too. So it's in their interest that you do well. I wouldn't say that it was pushy, it was always in the context "how can we support you?" And there always incentives to do well. So part of you wants to achieve those, for the feeling of achievement it brings.

After 6/12 months I decided not to sell any more. So I use it only for personal use or family that want to order something. And at this stage, I've only placed one order in the last 6 months. Literally just enough to keep my membership. And only then because I couldn't be annoyed with the contact that ordering from someone else would bring. I don't want to chat about all things tropic. I just want to buy the 1 product I use and forget about it again for 6 months.

To join, you'll have to go through an ambassador, because they want you to have the support and mentorship of someone else, to help you succeed. They really don't want you to join just to buy your own usage, if that makes sense. I think they may have changed things up more recently to make it harder to join up, to dissuade people from doing just that. I can see why, it is a business after all.

But once you are an ambassador, I think you have to place one order every 6 months. The lowest priced item is (I think) £3.50. So take the 25% off that, and it isn't very much to keep it live/active.

But you aren't going to be able to join and expect no contact from an ambassador who wants you to sell, to do well, and to start recruiting others. That's how they make their money out of you.

That's a bit of a rant, but hope it helps.
