43 years old.
1st day of lmp 07/09.
Sex on the 21st and 28th. Apparently we're so old that Wednesday is the new Friday...
Still no period. I'm at about 6 days late now so did a test this morning.
How common are false negatives because i am getting increasingly stressed

21st was with condom. No indication that there was a failure.
28th was not intercourse, more heavy petting

Still no period.
Back aches quite a bit and I can't get a Dr's appointment....
Another test yesterday was neg.

Is there a big possibility of 3 tests showing negative and still being pregnant?

Is it possible this is menopausal? Sounds like you've had protected/ non sex. There's lots of reasons for no periods.

It could be menopause. But would that go from totally regular and no other menopausal symptoms to a total no show one month?

I have always got pregnant really really easily in the past.
Literally 1st time having sex after coming off the pill and pregnant for instance.

My periods moved to a 40 day cycle about a year and a half ago (I'm 46) but in the summer I had one random 101 day cycle. I did multiple pregnancy tests but was still freaking out. When it came it was really light too. Then went back to a 40 day cycle this month.

Very possible that it could just be start of peri menopause for you.

Just1moreq · 13/10/2022 07:47

I presumed that the change would be more gradual.

Did you go to the Dr in that time? I'm considering asking for blooda to be done to check for hcg and they can also check for menopause markers too can't they?

No. I haven't been to doctor. I don't really have much in the way of other symptoms so assume it's just early stages of Peri. Will go to doc if/when I have more symptoms that need addressing. At the moment I'm enjoying long cycles as it spreads out my hormonal monthly migraines more!
They can take bloods and test hormones but it's notoriously unreliable as a test for Perimenopause as hormones can fluctuate so much. So unless you're specifically concerned about something or require some treatment options I'm not sure you'll gain much by seeing GP.
