Best slippers for this winter
MincePiesAllTheWay · 10/10/2022 12:28
The soles of my slippers are broken and looking for new ones. I am at home on my own a lot during the week so need something warm enough so don't need to put the heating on.
I bought oodie from kudd.ly (on discount and also voucher so wasn't too expensive) and looked at the slippers that they do. But not sure of the quality.
What are you looking to keep your feet warm and save on heating costs?

I got some haflinger bootees in lockdown. Costly but lovely and I spend most of my time in them!

Sheepskin slide ons for me.
I was given boiled wool ones last Christmas as replacements and they are still going so the Sheepskin slide ons will wait for my birthday.

Uggs.
Loads of 2nd hand ones knocking about on eBay.

I have the Crocs slippers, the pink spotty ones, I have neuropathy & they don't come off like ordinary slippers. The soles are thick & stop my feet from getting cold & protect me from damaging my feet & not feeling it.

Try The Small Home for brilliant 100% British sheepskin slippers. Cosy, sustainable & stylish. Go for a full moccasin for extra warmth around the ankle.

Sheepland sheepskin boots. I’ve had mine for 5 or 6 years now and they are still in great condition. I’ve got soft sole ones.

I find wool socks are warmer than any sippers. If I need to go outside i just put some slides on.
Bluevelvetsofa · 10/10/2022 16:03
Nordic socks keep your feet really warm. My feet are always cold, but they’re much better with these.

Have a hard sole so can pop outside if necessary.

I have sheepskin slippers from Aldi. I think they were £15 and so snuggly and warm. Total bargain.

Absolutely uggs. UGG slippers. So so warm. And hard wearing. I've had mine about 4 years, still going strong. Love them. Got mine in an outlet.
