Perfume parlour - what's the craic?

Does anyone know what's happened to The Perfume Parlour? I swear by their dupes and have sworn not to buy full priced perfume anymore - my favourites are getting prohibitively expensive.

Anyone know?

The site just says "we are not taking orders at the moment".

Looks like it's clearing a back log, must have been advertised somewhere recently.

Up until a couple of days ago the site was active and had a message saying "orders are taking up to 6 weeks". But the site is now down completely.

I've just added something to my basket, I might be looking at something completely different!

For me, their scents have changed formula and, my favourite, Mediterranean Water, the Wood Sage and Sea Salt dupe, now smells nothing like the original. Not happy.

I prefer the Mediterranean water to the original!

It used to be lovely, but the last bottle I got smells like aftershave.

I’ve had 3 from there on MN’s recommendation and they all smelt like toilet cleaner. I’d give it a swerve.

I think as they're a small concern, they may just have too much of a backlog at the moment. I've seen that message before about not taking new orders, would be about 3-4 years ago though.

I placed an order towards the end of September, and I'm still waiting for it - checked the website this morning and it said they were currently processing orders from Oct 5th - so am hoping mine's already on its way - but who knows?

They did stop trading for a bit recently but I thought they were up and running again?

I haven't bought from them for a while but the dupes have mostly been excellent in my experience!

My dupe for that is called Woody Sages and is better than the real thing as it lasts longer!

They had some legal issues and had to close- they weren’t taking orders for a bit and I think they’re on the fence about whether they’re closing or not so aren’t accepting new orders. You can find a lot more information on Reddit about it!

Update: my order arrived here in Ireland today (and it's lovely!).

Dossier do one called woody sage.

Never heard of Dossier but have been buying PP for years.
Mine is definitely PP and definitely Woody Sages.
I even went and fettled it out of my summer perfume stash box to check. I know they changed the names of their Chanel dupes a couple of years ago in case of litigation- I had some that were recognisable as Chanel dupes from the name, but they aren't anymore. Maybe they did the same for the JMs

I got a delivery a few days ago but I can't say I'm happy with any of them.

@PAFMO that was the original name for it, and, as you say, for legal reasons, they had to change it. It was fine at first, but the latest batch is awful.

@Blueberrycreampie how come? Maybe I'm just lucky not to have had any duds yet!
Baccarat dupe is my favourite, my boss sniffed when I walked in and said "baccarat? One of my faves too"
I also like their olympea dupe

I don't know Baccarat, maybe I'll try it. Absolute fave is Coco by Chanel but vintage. Be good if I could find something as good.
