What good products. Moving and the taps at new place are dull and lots of limescale.
Think its gonna take some magic to get them gleaming.

www.therange.co.uk/household/cleaning/cleaning-products/multi-purpose-cleaners/kilrock-gel-descaler-160ml/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqs6u_-_T-gIVGeDtCh0uFgCdEAQYBSABEgINbvD_BwE#470513

This. Kilrock gel, thick so it stays put, comes with a brush in the lid for easy use and makes a satisfying fizz on thick limescale.

Perfect thanks going there tomorrow so that's handy

I also have a dedicated toothbrush for bathroom cleaning (obviously only used for that!).

Much easier to get in all the nooks and crannies in bathroom taps, showers etc.

Vikal works well, or if on a budget then a big bottle of limescale remover from the loo cleaning section of the supermarket.
If on even more of a budget apparently a 2p coin works?

HighlandPony · 09/10/2022 21:22

Oven mate oven cleaner. I’ve cleaned crack dens and crime scenes alike with that. And wear gloves. That shit ruins your hands.

Chdjdn · 09/10/2022 21:24

Viakal is amazing for that

Pearfacebanana · 09/10/2022 21:25

Not limelite - it ruined my taps!

Kitchen roll soaked in toilet limescale remover and then wrapped around the tap. Leave to work for 5-10 mins. A bit of a scrub with an old toothbrush to get in the crannies and rinse with clean cloth and water. Dry with fresh cloth and buff to shine.

I soaked kitchen roll in white vinegar and moulded it round limescale areas, left it for a few hours and scraped it off with a 2p coin ( a handy hint from somewhere) To my surprise it worked like a dream!
