Not covid - swept through my workplace, kids school like a tornado.

Ive been off all week, lost half a stone, still nauseous if I eat anything. It absolutely floored me

Are you absolutely certain it’s not covid? I’ve just had it for the second time, tested 3 times a day for 5 days after having symptoms
before I got a very faint line! I recognised the symptoms as I’d had it before, severe nausea being one of them. In fact I’m still nauseous now, 5 weeks on. I only actually tested positive for 3 days this time,

it would be very easy to miss it was covid though!! Still feel rubbish 5 weeks on.

I tested so much because I work with very vulnerable people and I’m immunosuppressed myself. Most people don’t have -“access to that many tests, and they’re expensive unless you qualify for free tests still.

Whatever I have is vile. Completely off my food & want to vomit.

But not as bad as I was when I had covid in March. And I’ve had my flu & 4th covid booster.

Been testing negative for 2 days now. Meant to be out tomorrow so will test again if feel well enough to go, which I doubt.

Agreed all four of us at home have been hit by it. My youngest 1yo DS hit the worst - ended up with an inhaler and spacer to help alleviate the wheeziness as he was just so uncomfortable 🥺

Don't think the actual flu has made an appearance yet?

Amarette · 07/10/2022 23:20

I read that as "swept through the school like a tomato" and it took me a while to refocus my eyes! (Covid booster side effects - as bad as flu I reckon!)

We've had it, and I tested positive for covid, DH didn't but we had exactly the same symptoms. As far as I have read, flu season hasn't started yet.
