House clearance and moving furniture across cities

Hello all,

We've been living temporarily in Scotland and now have jobs here. It happened quite by accident as there was never any initial intention of staying. We discovered we love it in Scotland and now want to stay, and so now need to figure out moving our stuff from England to Scotland so that we can sell.

The property in England is clean and it has all been looked after in the interim period, but it has got furniture and personal belongings in it that we need to get moved to scotland.

I don't drive and most people I know also don't drive, so we would have to hire someone to drive it all to us after it's in a van.

This is something I've never had to do before, and I have no idea how to. It seems like an overwhelming task. Is it even possible?

Can you hire people do go into a house, move the furniture into a van, empty the cupboards, and bring it all to you in a van? If so, what do you Google to find this service? How expensive is it?

I'm honestly overwhelmed thinking about it and would love just basic knowledge of how people manage stuff like this.
