When do you put away outdoor toys?

This is the first winter we have "outdoor toys" DD is 19mo and has a little tikes plastic slide and car, she also has a sand table with a hard plastic cover.

We are out playing with them this morning and it got me wondering when we should store them away?

Also, do you think it's necessary to put these things in a shed or could we just put some tarp over them?

In one of these.

We never did. They were used throughout the year, as long as it was dry. We have a 15 year old trampoline that has never been covered and has only recently had its jump mat replaced for the first time.

We haven't put them away over winter before either, some of the toys are about 10 years and our sturdy sand and water tray is about 15 years old.

The DC like to play with them throughout the year and so I just leave them out.
