Finding out court verdicts/reason for appearance (Scotland)

As user name suggests I've name changed for this in case I end up saying something outing or someone can figure out who I am from pp's.

I've recently discovered someone relevant to me is to appear at court in the near future and has had dates several times in the last while. How on earth do I find out why this is/what the previous verdicts were? Surely it's public record so should be available but the Scottish courts website just takes you round in circles when you try to search and it's driving me mad! Nothing but the court dates past and future come up when I Google the name of the person in question so there doesn't seem to be any newspaper reports etc as I remember verdicts and upcoming cases and reasons used to be listed in our local newspaper

Bumping for the morning crowd - on closer inspection there are several past dates but 2 different reference numbers so suggests more than one offence to me

I don't think you can, sorry. I think you would be able to get any future dates eg trial dates on the Scottish courts website but not what they are charged with. Of course you could go watch the court and find out, but appreciate that may not work for you.

No unfortunately going to watch isn't an option and don't have anyone I could potentially send either. Mad that this information isn't available when it all used to be common knowledge via our local paper - now with the internet you think it would be easily available. Thank you for your response.

Have you tried googling their name? It might come up with some news article from when the offence was committed that will give you an idea of what they’re up for.

Yes have tried that - just comes up with the multiple court dates and one future although I suspect there might be a time limit on how far they go back as have a strong suspicion there's been more previously!
