Crop Circles

Just thought that I've not read about any crop circles for years. Do they still happen? I remember a few years ago they were always on the news

Maybe the blokes that do them have got bored? Maybe it's no longer economical for the farmers to let them do it? Or maybe the pixies, aliens or orbs of plasma caught Covid?

DH had a mate who used to make them, they're probably too old for nighttime gallivanting these days.

I always thought they did them without permission of the farmers. The above article seems to agree I see.
I wonder if anyone was ever caught and prosecuted for harm and loss of revenue.
