Another mortgage rates one

Do you think mortgage rates are likely to come down over the next couple of weeks, or just continue to rise?
I'm considering paying an ERC of nearly a grand to fix now rather than waiting until my current deal ends in a couple of months, but am so confused.

Unlikely, given Bank of England will review rate at beginning of November and likely to go up at least 0.5%

The markets predict rises to over 6% by next year. So maybe a fix now is sensible.

I don't think we're going to get the very fast moves we saw a couple of weeks ago but I'd be surprised if interest rates don't go up and therefore mortgage rates will too

Weeks? No chance. Everything is very uncertain atm, but I think it's pretty certain that they won't come back down for at least a year. Though who knows.
