Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a nice shop, but is it just me - a bit blah? Nothing is distinctive.

I am sure I remember it being filled with absolutely beautiful clothes in vivid iridescent colours with matching accessories. It wasn’t often I could afford to shop there but I did get a beautiful blackberry coloured cardigan once.

Anyone else remember?

No. It was always the place your gran got her wedding outfits. Not really an ‘in’ place

Maybe I was just hopelessly uncool then!

I remember it filled with so many beautiful colours, fresh floral designs.

It's always seemed opulent to me, all about texture, lots of velvet. A bit Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen.

Maybe they've had to start using cheaper materials, like a lot of shops? That would be a shame.

It's a shop I might glance at for ideas, but never really find anything wearable for everyday. Nice for a special occasion perhaps.

I agree with you. I suit jewel colours and always swooned over their maxi skirts and knitwear. Now I can finally afford it, it’s all a bit run of the mill.

I remember going with my mum when I was a child. It was gorgeous. My current favourite dress is from there too.

Now, it seems garish rather than sumptuous and the fit is often really odd.

I haven't been in for a while but I'd I think if Monsoon as a place with beautifully embellished clothes and gorgeous accessories.

Maybe I've been in granny style clothes all my life 🤷‍♀️

Loved Monsoon, but there isn't one anywhere near where I live now.

I used to love all their Indian-inspired prints, colours, and embroidery. Their stuff wasn't necessarily bang on trend but not everyone is a slave to fashion 🤷🏼‍♀️ I really suited their colourful, "ethnic" vibe but agree that it's all a bit boring now.

I feel like Anthropologie are now making the sorts of clothes that Monsoon used to make, but much better quality and ridiculously expensive.
