I have ulcerative colitis. The hospital ran a full raft of blood tests yesterday. Usually I have what I think of as resilient blood in that I can be in a moderate-severe flare colitis wise and my blood tests have always come back reassuringly normal.
Yesterday's have shown the my chloride is out of range and is too high.
There's not that much information available about this online (I usually like to stick to looking at the NHS website).
A quick Google has bothered me a bit and I'm trying to make a judgement on whether this is something that needs further investigation quickly or can wait a bit.
I've sent a message to my GP who is usually very responsive but I don't know whether she'll manage to get back to me today.
