Can anyone recommend a good treadmill?

I'm thinking of getting a treadmill for the winter and wonder whether anyone can recommend one. I'm not an expert runner by any means and would be more likely to be walking on it. I'd love to know if you've bought one that you use regularly that is good.

What is your budget and how much space do you have? Some can be folded and pushed against a wall or under a bed.

I'd like one that folded because my TV is in the living room and I thought I could watch it while getting some exercise. I live on my own though so as long as I can get it out of the room when I want to, that would be fine.

I don't know regarding budget, perhaps up to 300? Is that too cheap?

300 won't take you very far. You should look at the second hand market.

Have a look at the Reebok Jet 100 if you can double that budget. I don’t own it but it was where I landed in my research yesterday.

You should note that a folding treadmill (one you can run on with incline abilities) doesn’t really fold though. Still takes up quite a bit of space.

I'm probably being a bit unrealistic aren't I?!

We bought a fabulous Reebok GT40s we found second hand on Facebook Marketplace.

Paid about £300 and it is one year old. They are £800 brand new.

Most people don't use them as much as they expect, so they are in good nick. Try it out first though to make sure that it is in full working order.

My DH uses ours about 5 times a week, so money well spent.

You pay peanuts, you get monkeys when it comes to treadmills, so yes looking at the second hand market is your best chance.

We researched this loads and got a branx Fitness one. Was 1k but the food is amazing and it's so sturdy

It made a great clothes horse....
