Im hot and then cold, buzzing head (like a tuned out TV), headache, horrible taste in mouth. Its bloody Covid, I am always late to the party trendwise though 😂

Mumsnut · 06/10/2022 11:25

I would have thought so, but ….Have been testing since my husband came down with covid 2 weeks ago. All negative. Have used several different test brands too

hope you feel better soon.

Yes, me and I am absolutely miserable.
I have had it for about 4 days now and I feel worse today.
I had fortunately ordered a faux Oodie so at least I am warm, though the middle of my body feels so cold.
I am so sad, I have loads to do but head is aching so badly I can’t think straight.

Hope everyone else is soon well.

DialsMavis · 06/10/2022 11:33

Im in my new fake Oldie too! Hope you both feel better very soon

IamEarthymama · 06/10/2022 11:36

DialsMavis
I had hoped to get to half term at least before I succumbed!

I am going back to bed with the dog, though he gets right narky if you move.
It is worth it as he is lovely and warm to Cwtch up to.

Rocklobstershell · 06/10/2022 11:38

Yes this sounds like the big I had around the time of the Queen’s funeral - really horrible hot flush type waves / fever sweats. Body aches, no appetite, sore throat and the buzzing in head thing. I found it really hard to sleep when I had it even though I was bone tired: I’d keep jerking awake just as I dropped off. I tested and it wasn’t covid just something really unpleasant!

Handyweatherstation · 06/10/2022 11:45

Yeah, think I've got that at the moment. Did anyone else start with a sore tongue?

IamEarthymama · 06/10/2022 11:51

Handyweatherstation
I started by feeling as though my head was going to burst and feeling nauseous.
My mouth is really sore now though and my head, though still in one piece, is still hurting.
One of the worst things for me is that my eyes are so gritty and sore.
Thank you OP for this opportunity to grizzle, my poor wife must be fed up of hearing, But I don't feel wellll!
I am making myself walk the dog, though I am keeping a distance fro other dog walkers and friends.

Handyweatherstation · 06/10/2022 11:58

Interesting that someone else has the sore mouth thing, IamEarthymama. For me, my brain has turned to mush and I can't focus, I keep going cold, feel so lethargic, ears ringing, headaches. Crap, isn't it.

DialsMavis · 06/10/2022 12:02

I don't have much faith in Covid tests tbh, as have had same symptoms recently, but as it says that is what it is, I will lay low for a few days.

I only tested as had a spa day booked and thought it only fair to beauty therapist. I genuinely thought I was superior being as been coughed on by Covidy DC numerous times, shared a bed with DH when he had it (twice). I might demand a retest.

My ridiculously OTT dress has just arrived from Vinted and I'm too hot and cold to dis-oodie and try it on

aliceinshackles · 06/10/2022 12:36

Sounds a lot like what I've got/had
First tested positive for covid. 3rd time unlucky
Then as testing negative got the worse cold , headaches, dizziness, sore throat , bad chest and strangely constipation.
Now got d&v (sorted the constipation)
It's been nearly a month of being poorly

shinynewapple22 · 06/10/2022 13:00

I think that currently the LFTs are often not showing positive until after a couple of days if symptoms - so probably not worth testing yourself without symptoms just because your DH has Covid. I would do another test in a day or two's time .

Mumsnut · 10/10/2022 12:42

Never did test positive, but the 'thing' is in the rear view mirror now, thankfully.

Commiserations to all!
