I’m originally from london but haven’t been back there since 2019, I was just wondering really if anyone can tell me if kids still travel free in london?

Under 11's on buses, tube, tram, DLR yes but not mainline trains but under 5's are free on mainline trains within the London zones and 5 - 10 year olds can travel free on trains if they have a photo 5 - 10 Oyster Zip.
Not sure about Overground Trains and the new Elizabeth Line.

Once over 11 is gets a bit more confusing.

Dd is 10, we don’t have a oyster zip ID, so can she still travel the tube and bus?. I’ve tried searching on line but it’s all very vague, some of my friends from london have given conflicting advice. We are going in November and i don’t wanna top up one of my oysters for her if I don’t need to.

If she is 10 then it's free on buses and tube. Unless she looks much older for her age she will be fine.

Thank you.... thankfully she’s a shortie so actually only looks 8/9 😁
