We’ve been on the waiting list for a council property and have finally been successful on a bid. This was last Wednesday, we have come up number 1 and council have confirmed we are the only ones that have been nominated. Understandably it hasn’t been long but what are the timeframes like for housing associations to make contact? I’m absolutely ripping my hair out because am so desperate to move. Council has confirmed everything’s done their side just a case of waiting for the H/A to call and go from there. How long will I be driving myself bonkers for pls!🙄

Depends how ready the property is. If it's ready now they will call you asap and try to get you to view/sign paperwork soon. But if it needs weeks of repairs (or maybe just checks like gas check) they won't be so rushed. Maybe a couple of days I guess?

We bid on a flat with a housing association, once the bidding was closed the council asked us for bank statements, payslip & rent arrangement. After we submitted this information, they emailed us back to say we have been nominated for the property. Our status has changed from Live to Nominated. The council informed us that they have passed our information on to the HA which was on the 16th June 23 as it’s been 3 weeks I was just wondering what the process is how long we need to wait! Because the HA hasn’t been in contact with any updates.

For me it was around 8 weeks till I got to see it and then got the keys pretty much straight after
