I think it was a YA/teen book.
The only thing I can remember, was at the beginning it starts with people huddling in a deserted house when they hear a small child crying.
Initially they don’t want to go out to him but they do. Eventually we discover this child has a bomb in the back of his throat and it explodes killing then all.
