I know some people don't like smart meters but we need one in order to access an off-peak tariff to charge our electric cars. We are with Bulb. I had a meter installation booked a year ago which was cancelled because the fitter had Covid, and I have been on the waiting list for the next available appointment for literally a year since.
Bulb tell me the meters are fitted by a third party and they can't do anything. I am curious if anyone has had a smart meter actually fitted by Bulb in the last twelve months. We would quite like to move to Octopus but they want us to have a smart meter already in place and I don't know if their fitting programme is any better, so if any Octopus customers can comment I'd be grateful.
