What time do your children go go bed? And wake up? How old are they?

On a school day, my children go to bed at 8pm
and wake at 7am. They are 7 and 9.

On a weekend, they still go to bed at 8 but might wake up later.

On holidays/half term, I might let them stay up till 9

Sounds about right-
my 11yo gets up at 6:30/7 come what may, 8 yo has to be dragged out of bed at 7;45 for school, get up about 8:30/9 on weekends
both go to bed around 8:30

DD is 9 and has never needed much sleep!
She gets up at 6.30am and is in bed for 9, but tends to read until 9.30, some nights she’s been awake way past 10, but still manages to bounce out of bed at 6.30!
I wish I had her energy levels…

Friend’s daughter is also 9 and needs 12h sleep a night, she also gets tired towards the end of the school week and has always been this way

  1. Goes up between 7 and 7.15pm. Two stories then asleep by about 7.30. Wakes up any time between 6am and 7am. A rare treat is 7.30am!

10 and 7. They never sleep past 6 no matter what time they go to bed (I'm also an early bird). So they're in bed at 7.15 and reading til half past/quarter to 8. They'd be vile otherwise.

10 year old stays up til 8 on a Friday for some 1 on 1 time.
