Is it my imagination that when I am getting to the end of the tube of toothpaste my mouth doesn't feel minty for long?

I find this too. I often brush my teeth & get in bed to read for an hour before going to sleep and I feel I should rebrush my teeth again because my mouth doesn’t feel fresh at all.
